Making time for self-care can be difficult when life is busy. It’s one of the easiest things to put off day after day, even though it is one of the most important things to make sure you do daily. Taking care of yourself relieves stress and exhaustion which helps you be more efficient in taking care of everyone and everything else that needs to be done.
Making a self-care kit makes it easier for you to ensure you care for your well-being every day. When you have everything you need to make you happy in one spot, there’s no excuse not to do it! When deciding what to do for your own self-care, think of things that make you happy, energized or feel relaxed. It can be anything! Even something as little as grabbing a snack on turning on Netflix or Hulu for a binge, or go into your DVR and catch up on your shows. It can be a morning beauty routine, an evening beauty routine, or better yet, BOTH! It can be spending more time doing hobbies you love or learning something new.
My Self-Care Kit
I have my bathtime spa setup with my bath caddy so I can get lost in Pinterest or Andry birds with a glass of wine and a relaxing candle. That’s my relaxing time after Little Man has gone to bed and I can unwind for the night. I also have my crafty time at least once a week, working out, and the beauty routines that I stick to daily. As I get older, I realized how important it is to take care of my skin, so I make that a priority. And with super sensitive skin like mine, I tend to make most of my face products, so I get my crafty time in that way also!

Take a relaxing bath and let the bubbles carry your stress away. I got myself a Bath Tub Caddy and love it. I can take a glass of wine and my iPad to relax with Angry Birds or get caught up in Pinterest.
Toss in some Bath Salts or bubble bath, and it’s even better! I Love this Rosemary Mint one and the Bath & Body Works Stress Relief one the best!
And of course, don’t forget lighting a scented candle to really make it feel like a spa. Bath & Body Works Stress Relief candle is one of my favorites. Or you can use a diffuser like this one and some essential oils. My favorite essential oils to use are from Rocky Mountain Oils and Plant Therapy. They both sell EO’s that are 100% pure and affordable.
Doing your makeup is always more fun when you have whimsical make-up brushes like this MYSWEETY16 piece colorful unicorn set!
And to clean them quicker I love my LUXE make-up brush cleaner with a rechargeable USB station. It makes cleaning all my brushes quicker and I don’t have to set them out all over the place to dry anymore, it dries them for me too!
I received a FOREO Luna in one of my Fab Fit Fun boxes and it has been great for keeping my skin looking good. Especially since moving to the south where the humidity is such a change from Colorado that my skin needs some extra loving care while it gets used to the change. I also use make-up remover cloths to remove my make-up before washing my face. They work amazingly to take off makeup and clean your face. I was skeptical at first that just water and the cloth would take off make-up, but it really does!
Spending time doing a hobby or craft you love is a GREAT way to practice self-care! And Amazon has lots of stuff just to add a little touch of whimsy to your hobbies to make you smile.
Love gardening? How about a super cute 3-Piece Aluminum Garden Tool Set with purple floral print. If you love to crochet or knit, this T-Rex yarn bowl is one of my favorites.

I really like the #MomLife snarky coloring book for days when you just need to let it all out! Grab a set of Prisma premier colored pencils and start coloring.
If listening to music is something you enjoy and you don’t have a record player, you are missing out! I love my record player and my favorites on Vinyl. I have mine in my bedroom so I can put on some music when I am taking a bath.
Fitness and Healthy Habits
If getting into shape or creating healthy habits is what you do for self-care there, here are some of my favorite things for that. Making sure I work out at least 5 days a week and drinking plenty of water is part of my routine. Here are some of my favorite things for aiding you in your healthy journey.
A fitness watch is my first favorite. You can keep track of your daily stats to ensure you are moving around enough and keep track of your workouts. There’s the Fitbit Versa or Garmin Vivoactive, both of which which have a lot of great features at a good price. There’s also the Bellabeat if you prefer something that looks more like jewelry. You can even wear it as a necklace.
If you are trying to make sure you drink more water every day, there is the Bevgo Infuser Water Bottle with hydration timeline tracker. I love adding fruit to my water to give it a little healthy taste.
Making your own home gym.
I love my Bosu Balance Trainer and my TRX Suspension Trainer Kit. Those two items get used at least 3 times a week with my morning workouts. And if you are a Yoga lover like me, the Sivan Health 6-Piece Yoga set is one of my favorites. I say one of, because I do love my Yoda Yoga Mat even though it isn’t very thick.
I don’t know what it is about cute workout gear that makes working out more enjoyable, but I just run with it! These are a few of my favorite workout clothes.
