Save On Groceries Without Clipping Coupons

Living on one income for the past 10 years has taught me many things about easy ways to cut costs and save money. One of the easiest ways is to save on groceries and household items! I do this without having to pay annual fees like you would at bulk stores like Sam's Club and Costco. And, there are some things I just can't get at the local bulk stores that I can online. And I do all this while shopping online in my pajamas!

My shopping trip to the grocery store is much shorter now with the purchases consisting mostly just of meat and bread and the very few things I can’t get on my favorite shopping sites. And even then, I don’t have to get out of my truck and go inside.

My favorite ways to save on groceries!

Want to know how I save money every month on our groceries and household essentials? It’s super easy! And with back to school season happening soon, this makes it super easy to save on lunch box food too! So here’s my favorite shopping sites to save money, both online and in store!

Boxed

This is one of my FAVORITES for online bulk prices! Their name brand prices even tend to be better than store brand prices from Walmart and other grocery stores. I can get a big box of 160 Welch’s fruit snacks for CHEAPER than the equivalent amount of Walmart’s Great Value brand fruit snacks. There are quite a few bulk items on boxed.com that end up cheaper than Sam’s Club. And there’s no annual membership fee to access their prices! Talk about a win to save on groceries!

They have their Prince & Spring brand, which I have no complaints about as of yet! I use the garbage bags and dishwasher tablets regularly and am happy with them. And the best part is everything is in bulk, so I only have to order every 3-4 months and orders arrive in 1-3 days! They even send you a “selfie” of your box when it is ready to ship. That made me giggle a little bit when I got the email.

Grove Collaborative

This is my favorite site for great prices on natural products. I have very sensitive skin, so even regular deodorant is irritating to me. I’ve tried Tom’s brand before. But let’s be honest, it doesn’t last more than a few hours. And who really has time to keep reapplying deodorant every few hours all day long? The Schmidt’s deodorant sticks work! All day, not just a few hours for a great price!

They carry Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning supplies, as well as Method, and their Grove Collaborative concentrate cleaning supplies! I order my Castille soap and cleaning supplies from this site and love it! Orders show up super quick too! If you love more natural products and want great prices to save on groceries and household supplies all while shopping in your jammies, give Grove Collaborative a try!

Ebates

So here is one of my favorite ways to get cash back not only online, BUT in store also! Ebates is known for getting cash back when shopping through them at certain online retailers. But did you know you can link your payment card to the app and get cash back when you shop in-store also? They often have GNC, Sephora, JCPenney, Sally Beauty Supply and MANY more stores available for cash back on an in-store purchase. I love that you can use it for both online shopping and in store!

With back to school shopping coming up very soon, this app is the perfect way to get some cash back on all the clothes and school supplies you will be purchasing!

Ready to jump on the Ebates bandwagon? Here is my referral link to sign up and check out all the great cash back deals! You’ll thank me later!

Ibotta

This is the best way to save with coupons without having to clip them. They even have deals for online purchase bonuses! Remember Boxed that I talked about above? Well, there’s also a bonus in Ibotta that’s available until 7/31/2018! As well as lots of other bonus offers to get some extra cash back! Once you hit $20 you will have the option to have the money sent to your PayPal account.

I always check my Ibotta before going to the grocery store. And you can become part of a team where everyone works together to get rebates, and you get bonuses when your team hits a certain amount! Another win to save on groceries!

Who wouldn’t want an extra 15% to save on groceries and household supplies??¬†Plus there are often coupons you can add to the savings also!

Walmart Grocery Pickup

If a Walmart near you offers the grocery pickup option, definitely try it! Grocery shop from your couch and no more impulse purchases while shopping. This is a super easy way to stick to your list. And if you have kids that drive you crazy during grocery shopping, you will LOVE the pickup option. It’s super easy to do. Reserve a pick-up day and time, shop for what you need on the app and check out.

You will get an email and/or text, depending on your app settings, letting you know when your groceries are ready to be picked up. You don’t even have to call 10 minutes before to let them know you are on your way, you can check in from the app!

Here is my best piece of advice for using this app. Before finishing checkout, you will be given the option to deselect items you do not want substitutions for. Deselect anything you wouldn’t want a different brand or similar item to. For example, I am SUPER picky about my almond milk. I prefer Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk to the other brands. So before finishing checkout, I make sure to deselect that as substitutions OK. Same with my Pepsi.

In my experience, if they have to substitute an item for one that costs more, they don’t charge you the extra! Around Christmas, I ordered a box of Swiss Miss Cocoa for Little Man. They ran out of the 10 count box I had ordered, and we got the 30 count box for the price of the 10! So unless I am super picky on the item, I always allow for substitutions.
